Large Plot of Property in Kastoria... a historic, scenic, yet modern city in the north of Greece
Kastoria is one of the most beautiful cities in Greece and is a favorite spot for weekenders and vacationers. The suburbs of the city are budding residential towns, still their residents come to Kastoria to enjoy its serenity and beauty.
Of special interest for developers is the largest plot of privately owned property that is located within the city limits. There are very few plots of land available within the city limits, and none have the size of this property.
In order to appreciate the advantages of the property's location it is important to understand how the city has been developing these past 20 years. Reaching Kastoria entailed a very difficult drive through winding narrow mountain roads which were not without hazard especially during the winter months. This made the city somewhat remote.
Originally, there was only one main road [Edessa-Kastoria] by which one could arrive at Kastoria. As you can see the property is to the left as one enters the city. This is a very good location because it avoids the traffic and parking difficulties of the inner city.
Yet another important development has been the completion of the Egnatias Highway that runs parallel to the Edessa-Kastoria road leading to the city. There is now an exit at the Argos Orestikou suburb of Kastoria since this is where the airport is. From this point Kastoria is about a 10 minute drive.
Now Kastoria is no longer a remote and difficult city to reach . It is less that 2 hours away from Thessaloniki, and all the other larger cities in the North of Greece (Kozani, Florina etc.) can come very quickly into the city.
There is still one more very important development taking place that will makes this property's location even more commercially significant. Another exit from the Egnatias Highway is under construction that will lead directly to it. Understandably this property will be the first and last thing people will see as they enter and leave the city.
The property below this main road led to the lake and in time it was developed so that another road was established by which one could now enter the city. This road is wide and spacious and because the lake is in such close proximity, it makes for an impressive entrance into the city.
In 2008 the Municipality voted to construct the biggest Conference Hall in the Region on the community owned property that is very close to the property being sold. When this Conference Hall is completed thousands of people will be coming to the city to attend conventions geared to their special interests.
Clearly, these are all very important reasons for a commercial businesses to consider purchasing this large piece of land.
A significantly large piece of property is for sale in the city of Kastoria, located in the northwest of Greece. The property is 1,500 sq. meters, and perfectly fit for building on. It is the only piece of land left of that size within the city limits.
